Zenith Constructions Aust. Pty. Ltd. is a specialist residential builder established on the Central Coast of NSW since 1994. Over the past 12 years Zenith has progressed to its respected status today as a reputable and competitive construction company, whose attention to detail and client satisfaction has created many happy homes across the Central Coast and the Northern suburbs of Sydney.

Zenith is headed by Managing Director Matthew Mullins. Matt entered the construction industry as a carpenter on high-rise commercial buildings. He progressed to entry-level management in this role, and worked on several landmark projects such as the Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney and the Stamford Plaza Double Bay (formerly the Ritz-Carlton) before starting his own carpentry business specialising in detailed domestic joinery. The natural progression was to obtain his builder's licence and to start managing his own constructions, and Zenith Constructions Aust. Pty. Ltd. was born.

The other director of Zenith is Matt's wife Belinda. A graduate of Sydney University, Belinda is responsible for the financial and HR management of Zenith. Her direction of Zenith combined with caring for the Mullins' three young children ensures a particularly busy workload.

Supporting Zenith's on-site management back in the office is Andrew Fisher. Andrew was employed by Zenith in 2003 as the Company saw the need for tighter financial and timeline control of projects in order to exceed the expectations of their clients. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University and will next year graduate from his Masters of Project Management at UTS. Andrew's involvement extends from the first client contact to handing over keys at completion. It's his contribution to the Company that allows our site supervisors to get on-site and concentrate on building, without also having to concern themselves with the large amount of paperwork involved with a modern domestic worksite.

Zenith is committed to the safety and satisfaction of its staff. A strict OH&S policy is adhered to and open discussion of site safety issues is expected through regular toolbox meetings. Staff and subcontractors are highly valued, and the pride and satisfaction Zenith holds for its projects is shared by our employees. Last year Zenith saw the graduation of two apprentices to qualified carpenters, and we're dedicated to training the next generation of tradespersons. We are also proud supporters of our community, recently donating a wheelchair access ramp to the Our Lady of the Rosary church, and performing maintenance works at cost for the local school. Zenith is also a recognised supporter of the Careflight Australia charity, and several other small charities.

Zenith specialises in complicated residential renovations and new home construction. Our attention to detail and focus on client and architectual vision for a project has led us to concentrate on prestige projects, however we also have experience in medium density development housing built to a budget. Even in such projects where cost is the client's primary consideration, our expectations of quality construction are not ever compromised.

We have a proven, professional and dedicated team of subcontractors that we have built up during the many construction projects that we have been involved in over the past decade. Our expectations are well-known amongst our subbies. Not only of quality, but of timeliness, courtesy and most importantly safety. Period contracts for our major subbies are renewed quarterly, and insurances and licences are checked at each renewal. Project contracts are issued for any "one off" jobs.

Zenith has Homeowner's Warranty Insurance facilities of up to $1m on any one project, and in excess of $1m on a case-by-case basis. We also have Products and Public liability insurance to $20m and all other necessary Construction and Worker's Compensation insurances. We are a long-standing member of the HIA, and keep our industry knowledge current through regular staff attendance at industry-group seminars.

We believe that residential building is no longer just a matter of getting "on the tools" and knocking up a house. Each job, no matter how small is rigorously managed from the office as well as from the site. Cashflow, cost centres and timing are all carefully tracked. Particular attention is paid to any variation to the original contract so that a client is always fully aware of how much extra their project will cost before they sign an authority, so that unpleasant surprises are avoided.
